From here, visit two of Ho Chi Minh's finest examples of French colonial
architecture: the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Lunch
at a local restaurant.
After lunch, drive to District 5, the location of
Vietnam's largest Chinatown, (known as Cholon). A bustling commercial center,
Cholon is a fascinating maze of temples, restaurants, jade ornaments, and
medicine shops. Here, you'll visit the busy Binh Tay Market (even more crowded
than Ben Thanh) and Thien Hau Pagoda, a pagoda dedicated to the goddess of the
sea, popular with seafarers making thanks for their safe trip from China to
Vietnam. Your tour will end at Ben Thanh Market. Do a bit of shopping, then
enjoy dinner at one of the night market’s restaurants.
